The Giant's Staircase is a terraced hill overlooking Lake Aliqua not far from the northern coast of the continent of New Europe on the planet of Blue Home. It is suspected (but not proven) that the terracing is artificial, though none of the human colonists of Blue Home have any real idea who might have made it. In any case, natural or sculpted, the hill makes a splendid viewing platform for the traditional Summer Water Plays, a combination of sport, art form and theatre that is held annually on Lake Aliqua.
