What a pitty about the black line at the horizon. It is a nice image. Have you tryed to get higher with the skysize?

nope! 'fraid it's only my second rendered image.. still getting to get to know the controls. do u mean the black piece wedged between the two hills? truth be, i didn't notice it till u mentioned it! ignorance is bliss, but knowledge is power;-) So, i will try & fix it. Thanks v much fer yer comment:-)

Nice view, try to work more with Terragen, then the "rest" comes too :-) also to set the sky size to max. 10000

cool colours. but yes, its a shame about the black artifact on the horizon - but otrherwise excellent.
