I am a 30-year old American woman, married to a Portugese man, and we live happily together in Brussels, Belgium. My husband bought me my Canon IXUS 530 for Christmas three years ago, and thus a new hobby was born. Since then, I have also used a Fujifilm S9000, and received my first DSLR camera, a Canon EOS 40D for my 30th birthday.
I have a BA in World Religions and East Asian Studies. My other interests include crochet, role-playing, cats, language studies, poetry, cooking, collecting prayer beads, and so much more. I have found the Renderosity community to be a delightfully warm and helpful group of people. With your continued support, I am learning more every day. Hey hey hey...why dont you just put down that sword. Im sure you guys can talk it out without it leading to such violence. #:oP I really like it, the light is perfect for the mood. The only suggestion i have is perhaps take two steps forward so that the stairs doesnt become visible. Have a great sunday Stefanie! #:O)

Warriors are born in battle, where there's no choice but to fight! :) But indeed, practice is necessary, with your weapon in your hand I'd better not have an argument with you LOL! Gorgeous work! :)

like the background (but the stair disturbs a bit); dramatic & tense...

I think it is a superb image - Lots of thought gone into how you are going to take the shot, the lighting is fabulous, the back light works really well and terrific creative imagination going into setting it up. No shot is mediocre as we can sometimes fool ourselves into thinking. Each is a sucess and can be valued for that alone. It is a sucess because you have taken the best photograph you could at that moment in time. It may not be perhaps where you want to be at some point in the future, perhaps you wish it were different but no matter because it is a step towards where you want to be. Without this image you cannot get to where you want to go, this one has brought you closer and made you realise your ambition so it is valuable for that alone. Besides that, it is an excellent shot as I have said above, you just need the eyes to see it as such.
