Description

A sense of scale Looking back at Saturn from Iapetus, in this image I was trying to give a sense of scale with my 3 astronauts walking towards the summit of a crater ridge. This is still only a test images as I have created over 100 different perspectives using different terrain to try to find one that works for me. Thanks for all the feed back as I will continue to post more of this series. Cheers, David

ohoooooo, how I love this image; the only thing that probably comes to mind is the great contrast between the terrain those astronauts walk by and the perfect surface of Saturn that doesn't have a scratch on it! congrats!

Space really is BIG. Standing there looking up at a faint and distant sun would give anyone a sense of scale. Excellent stuff.

Too few illustrators/graphic artists include a reference for scale. I salute you for doing so! Marvelous work, and I'm sure those three intrepid explorers appreciate being included in this shot. Now if they can just remember in which crater they parked the ship... My Vote
