Description

Where frogs always seem to be smiling, the toads always look P.O.'d. I noticed that he had a hair on his face when I uploaded the photos and decided to go out and try again but he had dissapeared. Hopefully the hair isn't too much of a distraction. Anyway, this is a Southern Toad and actually I think it's a she because it has a light colored throat. She looks like she was digging around in the sand a little bit! Toads seem to have their own little 'grumpy' personality about them. I would've loved to have gotten this close to that frog I took. (Earlier upload) I didn't have the right lens for it then though. Ya know... in a way she reminds me of how my Mom used to look first thing in the morning. LOL!!! Fantastic shot Wendy!!
