Description

Well my creativity level has been below 0 for a LONG time. I open poser and try to work on things, but I end up just staring at it and then scrapping it. However, I really wanted to play with my painting, so decided to try and see what I could do. Been working on this off and on for several weeks. Still has a long way to go, but wanted to post to get some feedback. I'm having trouble with the lips, if anyone has suggestions I'd be delighted! Thanks for peeking! Painter IX and Photoshop

Looks beautiful!! Way better than I could ever do .. I would move her left eye more to the left, it looks a little off .. as for the lips.. possibly a shinier highlight?

It's a good beginning! The eyes don't look quite right though. I think the alignment is a bit off, but I love their highlights and shading. The eyesbrows are also great! I agree with MistDragon, on the lips. The shape and shadow are excellent.

I won't repeat the previous comments on the left eye but as for the lips its almost as though you gave some darker lines to the bottom lip but not the top lip...the shape is great but its missing texture to me.

Good for you! I love Poser but it can be such a crutch, glad to see you working on your painting. Beautiful work so far. Keep at it!

It looks amazing to me! If you haven't seen it, Linda Berkquist (sp?) has a lip painting tutorial in the gallery section here http://www.furiae.com/ I haven't tried it, but I have done her eye one and that was very helpful.

Wow. I don't think I can give any advice. When used to draw with a pencil and paper, I never could do people. I always drew monsters, go figure. I think this is beyond anything I can do. Very nice.

needs more color, her body looks too rubbery. Her muscles need to be defined. You know it just looks flat, You may want to try adding some more colors like green, blue, purple. The nose can be tweaked a little. Usually when I start a painting, I just block in the shapes first defining the dark areas and the light areas. I prefer to use the hard edge brush instead of the soft brush. Too much airbrushing can hurt the art. I use the airbrush for some blending and hair but you do what's comfortable for you. Stand back away from the painting and look at it closely. Hope this helps. I haven't had time to do any new paintings, I haven't had time for art period and it's driving me crazy. Check out my gallery, hopefully soon I'll get time to update it

Considering that I can't even draw straight lines with a pen, this is quite a nice piece. The detail of the eye looks wonderful and it's the think you did better. Sorry, I can't offer any advice.

u know even my bys wear lips gloss...:) one trick i've learned about helping lips give define and bounce from the rest of the face is to add a highlight facing the light source on the top edge of the lips, above the lip color, some kind of yellowish normally does the trick good. i dunno, it like everyone has slimy lips....lol keep er going i wanna see it done!
