This was practice at creating 2d trees in Bryce. Its hard to get them to work well, the trans mapping is a major pain. but the potential for real looking trees makes it worth the effort.

Have you tried object mask renders,then using photo,s?...less effort and great results although some{including myself} may consider that "cheating"...but really,it's the results that count and this is damn nice!
