Description
Felix Rufus is her name, and if she looks comfortable and happy, it's because she's at home, in Point Lobos State Park, near Carmel, California. The docent said that she'd raised kits at this location for the past two seasons.
This shot taxed the limits of my 380mm lens, but the imperfections are a small price, to capture such a rare, wild creature. Check out the size of those paws!

Beautiful animal I must say. Unfortunately for the past two years I've been in a battle with two of these little demons! I believe that I've finally killed both of them but only at a cost of 3 dozen guinea hens, 2 dozen ducks and 1 dozen chickens. The first time I saw the first bobcat, she was circling my chicken coup and I couldn't shoot her as she was so beautiful and she ran away. That changed after my poultry started dissappearing. I must say that I have come to admire these little hunters and wish we could have worked out a mutual existence.

A very elusive capture!! I have seen maybe 5 in my entire life outdoors. Once while redfishing in the bay, the pair were stalking a group of wild hogs, it was so cool to watch them.
