Description

Needed to get some practice after trying to follow a tutorial in a magazine on image manipulation. This is my attempt at creating a fantasy image. The foreground landscape is real and is based on one of my photos of Dartmoor. The sky has been added. Moon was added using a photoshop brush. Not too sure if the addition of the bird works or not. Nice moody piece! Good implication of the lighting by the sky break. I would tend to tip the wings on the bird a little, but definitely leave him in...

Superb work. I find the bird in flight a bit distracting (would it be better stationary) but otherwise its a very haunting (and well executed) image.

Very dramatic image! Definitely got the fantasy look pegged. I like the bird, but it seems off to me. Maybe its the slightly blurred look to it. Also, it should be casting a shadow, like the stone marker is!

Haunting and beautiful and surreal. Reminds me of a dream I had when I was a kid, except the bird was an owl. The dream was so real that months later, I thought it had transpired. My brother laughed at me, "You must have dreamed that." Your picture strikes me like that dream.
