Description
I have gained a new appreciation for the detail (mind boggling) and workmanship which went into the construction of the Pantheon in Rome. I have left the rendering untouched from F-Prime. Lightwave's radiosity rendering engine is just too expensive when it comes to time. Regards all!

As far as is known, the Romans invented concrete, and became its undisputed masters (and to a degree still areeven learning how to set concrete underwater). Wasn't this the largest unsupported dome ever built until 1960? The aqueducts and the roads were at least as impressive from the engineering point of view, perhaps more....

You are right Hopalong the Romans were masters of engineering. Today we would have great difficulty trying to reproduce the structures the Romans made using only what was available at the time. Awesome modeling and reproduction!

from what I remember of my visit there, it looks pretty good, certainly is an awe enspiring place, just don't stand under the hole if it's raining :)
