Description

Painter and Wacom tablet. A portrait of my friend Kim Lawler, who died last April from cancer. The first time a close friend of mine has died. I miss you, K.L. The only reference photo I had was very small and very fuzzy, so this is about 25% from memory (my memory is also small and fuzzy, lol). This is very close to how I remember him. Here is a link to copy and paste if you would like to see a step-by-step tutorial explaining my painting method: http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Form.ViewPages=1007 Thanks for looking, John

A fine tribute to a close friend. I have a feeling he likes it very much.We should all be so lucky as to affect someone enough to inspire creation. Well done.

outstanding portraiture work...very expressive eyes and nice, friendly facial expression...you've given him a warm personality for all who view, what a wonderful gift and memorial...I'm sorry for your loss, it's never easy for those left behind, but sometimes for the best thing for those who pass over...
