Description

I'm to trying to do some buildings that have a nectlected look about it. I sort of struggled with it. I know I don't get many comments, most probably my work's not too good or all that exiting, but I need some help here. Please give some pointers so as to improve on what I've done so far. Any help will really be appreciated.

Well, they're looking good enough so far. I think a few of your textures are scaled a little big, especially some of the bumps. Also i think your bumps are a little too strong in places.

I think you did a very good job on them. I am no artist but I know what I like. I do not know how to do it but you might try to age them some more.

Knock back the bumps by about 25% and the difuse about 15%. Give the glass specularity, and knock back the difuse about 25 to 30% give them 30% transparency and make the texture you are using on the glass multiply rather than normal. The glass looks too much like a opaque solid. Otherwise you are certainly on the right track. The model would be fine as is if it were used in a distant shot however.

Very nice models and textures, I agree maybe the bumps are a bit strong but you did a nice job on these.

Depends on the effect you are aiming for, whether reaslism or expresing a style. Follow the advice made by others above if you are looking for realism. Watch the relative scale of the birds in the distance.

These look wonderful! You might want to try something that pentamiter_beastmete taught me... add in a bit of ambient occlusion on top of all the other suggestions above. Updates please! :o)

I think you've gotten excellent advice above. The buildings are obviously aged, but they still look too clean. They would be dirtier and have more mold and smudges and the like.

I got your note about my comment last night so was rechecking and still same results about it not working, just shows a tiny red X you may want to write to the moderators here and ask advice on maybe how it was uploaded. This her looks nice, I do not do this type of art so hard for me to give pointers on improving your work, but it looks like you got some great tips above great think about this site, I will just say create what you like, and others will I am sure find enjoyment in it as well.. GOOD LUCK
