Description

A kazillion thanks to all of you for your very kind and gracious feedback on "Forest Floor"... I'm still smiling like a nut. Well... I know... if the shoe fits and all that... ;)

And thank you for stopping in to have a peek at this one. If it's not too much to ask... and if you were thinking of leaving a comment anyway... could you let me know what colors you see in this one? On my 17" CRT monitor, the image is in shades of copper and brown... with a hint of pale green and pink in the spiral shape. I saw it on my Dad's new flat panel LCD today and it was all silver and pewter colored. Not at all the same. It just makes me wonder if anyone is seeing it the way I "built" it. Thanks for your time should you decide to respond. :)

UF with sig in PSP. Hugs! Helen :)

On my PC the colors are varying shades of taupe from dark to light with a hint of green. It may not be what you built but love the color gradiant regardless. :)

The colours I see are the same as above - definitely no pink - but it's very pretty just the same.

Antique copper of varying darkness, almost brown, definetly shades of pale greens, maybe just a hint of pink in places. This is from a 19" CRT that's about six years old. I've seen some of mine on LCDs and while there is a slight difference the colors are still about the same. Now about the rest of the image: beautiful details and flow of form to this, the spiral sits on top of and yet merges with the background. Existence is always fragile and while delicate, this fractal also seems very strong and self assured. Brilliant work!

Even at x15 magnification I see no pink on my CRT, although I can find a bit of slate-gray blue. Unless every viewer calibrates their CRT the same way, everyone will see an image differently, but take pleasure in the image regardless.

Ooh, Helen, this is gorgeous! I see dark brown textured background and "stems", and on the spiral I see a shining coffee and cream, moving on to light tan, and a hint of two shades of green. The egg shapes are more golden than the browns on the spiral. I don't see the pink, unless you're referring to the tinge of "sort-of-pinkish" caste on the tallest "leaf" of the main spiral.... The entire composition has an elegant and understated sheen. And just so you know, I need to calibrate my monitor, too:)

An absolute delight to the eye!! Such rich textures! Such talent! I'm so very impressed. I see everything you describe exactly as you describe it except for the pink. Oh I do feel like I'm missing out on that one. Pannyhb used the right word. ELEGANT! I did so enjoy this! ~Michelle~

Hi Helen, I'm viewing this on our flat screen PC and am seeing the same colours as you do - gorgeous! Will view later on my laptop at work and let you know. :)

This is amazing, I love the colouring and richly varied textures on the background. I see pretty much the same colours as you described - copper, brown with a hint of pink and green.

Gorgeous form and colorwork! Yes, I see the same colors as you, except, with Panny, only the barest hint of pink in the upper leaf of the central spiral: the color is more redbiege than pink. And again with Panny: Gorgeous!!

I see beige, cream and green - no copper. I have the same problem with my monitor. We got a new one, and all of a sudden my oranges were blinding! I toned them down a little, and now some people think they are too pale. I haven't figured out what to do about it yet. Calibrating . . . all Greek to me! By the way, I don't know when it happened exactly but you are my fractal god!

Beautiful. I see beige/tan/off white and pale green. I do not see any copper color. The background looks brown. I see no pink.

Helen, another beauty! What I see is light to dark brown on your background layer. The colors appear to be muted on my almost year old monitor 19 inch. No copper at all, or pink. What I see are varying shades of soft creamy browns, sort of like coffee with cream, as Panny said, and a soft delicate green that if I had to put a name to, I would call 'sea foam'. ;) A wonderful understated and elegant fractal!

It is difficult when you work with the gradients so specifically to know that you don't have any control over how others really see it. I just make sure my monitor is calibrated to my print service, because to me that's what really matters. I think you will drive yourself crazy if you try to get it to look as you want it over a wide range of monitors. As for this image..wow...love the shapes, the texturing, the colors. Good tonal balance between light and dark. Excellent, excellent work.

Yes I can see the colours that you created it in and it is superb. Lovely texture and colours.

Since I am having great difficulities these weeks with a good calibration on my monitor, my 'colorview' wouldn't help you much, but I love what I see, and the shaping is gorgeous too !

LM, on my LCD I see two shades of green, a buff tan, and mainly dark bronze. There is no grey, nor anything that resembles pewter. It appears as if any pink hues are an optical illusion, after staring at this for a few minutes. The details and composition are great fun to look at, and, yes, it really does appear fragile. You did it again, Little One!

I see beautiful browns, beiges and green, no pink. And... it's stunning no matter what hues are seen! ;)

Whoa! Now this is outstanding. Just perfect coloring and one of the best bits of gaussian pattern I've ever seen. Your getting so good it isn't funny, Helen - major nice work!

exquisite creation and see gray/brown shades as background darker in the same shades the "branches" and the spirals have soft beige, green and pearly colors and yes just a touch of pink.. I have a LCD monitor...and it was calibrated a while ago and planning to do one tomorrow.. my printing is right now not compatible with what I see..
