Description

So welcome to the first of the "learn about criket" series. Easiest thing to start with is the cricket ball. Made out of rubber or cork and wraped with either 2 or 4 pieces of leather bound together by a thick seem (that does the most damage when it hits you). Ladies and juniors generally use 2 piece balls, the men use either 2 or 4 piece with international men using 4 piece. The ball is "thrown" in an over arm action. Not actually thrown but your arm has to be mostly straight the flex in your elbow can't exceed more than 11.5 Deg. This "throw" is acheived by rotating your arm from front round to back and over to the front again (much like when a pitcher in baseball swings his arm around to warm up). The average cricket ball weighs 156g and is just as hard has a baseball. Tx for viewing and I hope y'll learn lots and for those who receive ESPN they have an ICC Cricket World special on most Saturdays. -~-~-~-~-~-~-~- Focal Length - 6mm F Number - F/2.8 Exposure Time - 1/80 ISO - 100 Metering Mode - Spot Light source - Auto Exposure Program - Normal Exposure Compnsation - 0 step Resolution - 72dpi Bip Depth - 24 Equipment - Panasonic DMC-FZ5 Silver -~-~-~-~-~- Edit - the grass was a seriously intense green so I toned it down abit and adjusted the levels, that it... Love it when I don't have to do alot of work...

My Son is a cricketer... he is silly (mid) on the game. I'm stumped by why He can't seam to get 'over' his obsession with it. I think he may get an injury from all that twisting he will hardly be able to bowl a maiden over if he ends up with a deep backward square leg.
