18th Feb 2006 Brother and sister Shane and Abby Hirst, 16 and 17, Stevie-Lee Weight, 15, Corey Dowling, 16, Cassandra Manners, 16, 19th Feb 2006 Josie Calvi, 16, http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=87585 These were not just names in an article they were people or the children of people we knew, they were buried following funerals we attended. they will live forever in the hearts of all who knew them and even those that didn't for we are a small community. Josie was laid to rest this morning We try to smile as we remember them but it never quite reaches our eyes

I got word today of a young man... A friend of my daughter. He was walking home from work when 3 kids in a car decided to jump him. They left him for dead. He was found and taken to the hospital where he was barely clinging to life. Somehow, he started to come back. But the pain must have been horrendous or something because he had a heart attack on top of everything else. He's now in a coma not expected to survive. Believe me when I say I know how you are feeling, Chris. Everyone in your town...everyone involved in this tragedy is my heart and my prayers.

It's stories like this that is always horrifying and heartbreaking. :-( I don't know how anyone can recover from such a loss, the healing process is slow, but one never really recovers from the loss. :-( Well done Chris, this is an excellent dedication.
