Description

About Star Trek episode A taste of Armageddon Captain Kirk is warned not to approach Eminar 7, but Ambassador Robert Fox insists they continue on course to establish diplomatic contact. There, they learn that war has raged between Eminar VII and nearby Vendicar for 500 years - a war fought by computers. Whenever a hit is proclaimed, citizens dutifully march to disintegration machines. When the computer declares the Enterprise destroyed Kirk and company are taken hostage and ordered to face death. About the picture On the background there is the actual Star Trek painted background (a matte painting) that appears in "A taste of Armageddon", taken from "The Art of Star Trek" book and retouched in Photoshop. The Galileo Shuttle and the man in red uniform are perfectly overlapped on the painting in Bryce, with their own shadows, using a Bryce technique developed by me during the years. The Bryce render is deliberately retouched in Photoshop like a painted illustration. This is my tribute to the STAR TREK classic TV series BTW: Don't forget to visit (and/or link) my website at: www.innovari.it where you will find the Galileo Shuttle mesh and many other free Bryce 3D meshes and other interesting stuff! Please buy some of my sci- fi Bryce objects on my Renderosity Shop page (they are beautiful and cheap!) just to support my website and the distribution of (more) free Bryce objects. Thanks in advance!!

Yeah that's what Star Trek would have looked like if they had Bryce back in the sixties!

I love Star Trek, especially the original series - it was so innovative and new at the time - which dates me, I guess. ;o) Excellent!
