Rita was a spit in the eye as compared to the stab wound to the gut that Louisiana took. But you live and you learn. Hopefully we're ready to do it all again ..

Once again, Mississippi took the blow from Katrina, flooding in LA was a man made problem. Without stuff breaking there, the hurricane barely scratched the surface. Cameron was hit hard by Rita. These are places actually hit by the hurricanes, not hit by engineering failures.

And she say she do not have the money to pay the Feds their $150 million She a joke around here

Rita was a major pain in the butt, the gridlock trying to get out of east texas was a nightmare. Used backroads except for one 17 mile stretch which took 4 1/2 hours to cover. Then the pathetic response from local officials over in the Beaumont area was discusting, I have kin that are still trying to rebuild homes and lives.

Hurricanes are just so scary! At least y'all got some media...we get Alaf'n where? We got hit by Katriana and a few of the ones before and after her but guess we didn't matter. Then again, maybe it's a testimony to how well our plan works here. I was scared spitless during Rita, I have family in Bay Town, sick and refused to leave.
