Description
Continuing work on the lab scene. Improved the glass textures and modeled a Coplin jar. Added Brushed Aluminum shader by DarkTree to the table (or is it a floor?)
Rendered with 2 area lights and the volumetric spot for the microscope lamp. Enhanced medium antialiasing. 6 hour render on AMD 64 3800+ with 2 GB RAM.
If I add any more reflective/transparent surfaces, I may have to buy a new computer!

The petri dish and staining jar look a little too metallic. The texture on the scope itself is good though.

you are probably right, cshark. if nothing else, it's unlikely that the slide, Petri dish, and Coplin jar would all have the exact same glass characteristics. I'll have to give it another try. thanks to both of you (oooZENOooo too) for your comments.
