No attack in this good metaphoric image!Un cheval est plus rapide qu'une tour ,et c'est finalement la tour qui se fera prendre; et c'est d'ailleurs elle que le monde entier veut prendre!

I don't perceive it as offensive, I'm in favor of many things US -related. To me, this one has some political connotations the way i look at it. It's all politics in the end at some level. You've got an impressive gallery, not quite your average i'd say :) A little subversive too. Great Work Rod!

I talk as a white South African: hats off to the American nation! The dark horse has its one eye on the stars of the USA, and that spells disaster.

The ambiguity of this is most interesting. As I see it, the king and the knight could represent the different races. By the way, sorry to see that your last post of the baby doll and Bin Ldn was deleted. Were you asked to remove it?

i like the ambiguity, my interpretation is a gut level instinct. America is a "Grand Experiment", the way that experiment is carried out is a delicate and fiercely fought argument following defined rules. My criticism is not for content, but for technique. I think this concept could be carried out much more powerfully, A different angle, more chess pieces, a different flag with more interesting textures, more dramatic lighting, a stronger composition. I believe the concept deserves a more thorough exploration.

nice "open concept" World Events photo!... and a perfect photo for the cover of Financial Times!

Dont worry! Even if offended, unlike some insane groups, I wouldn't feel a moral obligation to kill you, or if not you then maybe your neighbor. Or someone you may have met one time. Or not. And anyway, I like it!

Ha ha, this invokes quite some thoughts! Just love the fresh colors and the originality (and the thoughts of course)! :)

Great metaphoric image, the way I read it is that America (I'm assuming is the White King) is being targeted by the black horse, there are many possibility what the 'dark horse' could mean our current world. Unlike bluliner35, I think this simple composition is well executed and I', espically intrequied by the length and shape of the shadows on the pieces, there coupld be another meaning there.

If this is 'end game'... the king won! Hmmmm. Must be some new rules at work! ;-D

The dark side meets the light side but neither is really clear as to who is who as they are all fighting on the same soil ... My interp. Lovely creative shot, and it's nice that you've left it so open...

Your creations are fantastic and I enjoy them, especially this one... and I am an ennemy of USA way of life and this positive critic is in no way a tribute to USA... Cheers...
