Description
This is pure terragen. I discovered it while playing with the camera settings. If you take a level for the camera, below the main view, this happens to come out.I liked it and wanted to share with you. Thanks for any word you say.

For some reason, it makes me think to the gigantic, frightening black eagle in some animated scenes of Pink Floyd, The Wall (the Alan Parker movie).

Looks to me like The Nexus from 'Star Trek: Next Generation', but definitely darker or more evil. Its cool.

mmmm yeah a thing well known, and your clouds are pixelate, and for some reason it makes me thing to .......nothing, sorry, next time i will post my render with errors...

trankill; I just wanted to post something I had discovered and let the other people who were not aware of this kind of rendering. I am not saying it is perfect. To me, it was a nice surprise. That is all. And if it is a trick well known as you say, then you should not speak as if I had done it in some other way than terragen. And it should not be a fault to post little surprises arising from rendering errors. You are ,of course free to post pictures with rendering errors.

This is quite different and someone posted her 'oops' too once a while back. Your sky is beautiful, most delicate and see no 'pixels' I hope you've saved those settings.... What's super about this is one feels as if the sky is splitting... something is coming through from the other side... Wonderful work...

While it is a known effect, I agree with you that it is still a surprise. To obtain this, you must put your camera outside of the terrain, and this is a kind of "search attitude" that I like a lot. Bliss effect and overhang have been dicovered with this same kind of attitude. So yes, it is pixelated, yes it is a bug, but bravo for your searching behavior!

Agree with Christianfly !

As I am fond of keeping the peace, I will not say what I think about trankill, I figure your just starting out right? under render settings, set cloud shading to maximum to remove the pixelate on the clouds, and try unchecking the box that says backface culling (just to see what happens) It may not be perfect, but it is certainly unique, which goes a long way.
