Good Evening!!!
Today I am temporarily ending the series of all these old graves. Honestly, I'm out of photos! When we went, the kids came with. So besides taking pictures & paying Respect to the family, making sure the kids learned how to act in this setting was a priority. So I really didn't get many pictures. But, I will.
Arizonia & Vetter Whittaker. Both were here to experience many American histories! And there's even a photo of them on the stone! I thought that was pretty darn cool! Notice the spelling is different from the other Whiteaker graves shown previously. An immigrant family that survived in these mountains and obviously did it well! Quiet a few generations after them that I hadn't photographed.
Well, I'm going to start something new. Don't know what. I want to say Thank You for all the awesome comments you've given! Big Hugs, Velvet.

If I'm buried when I'm gone, I'd like to have my photo put on the stone like they have theirs. I've enjoyed this series you've done here Velvet. I think it's great that you're sharing it with the kids too. Cool job!!!!

Now ya don't know ole Vetter was alone .. or that he was unhappy about it, either. lol. You find the different spellings of last names a lot .. i know my great-great-great grandpa's headstone has my maiden name spelled one letter shorter then how we spell it. Figured they couldn't fit all 11 letters on the headstone.

Arizonia died quite young! Excellent capture! Don't you have some funny photos of your kids? Sure you record the moments for posteriority. hum... bad idea?

Amazing how well the photograph has lasted. Ive seen photos in my grandmothers house that hasnt stood the test of time half as good, lol. Lovely series, although quite sad too. Looking forward seeing what you have for us next. #:O)

Extremely touching, reminds me of my own mortality.........great shot although a more straight on shot would have worked as well, nice lighting, nice colour balance, good details, all round a great shot........S

I want to say thank you for last serie from you ! it's very special ! no matter in Who or What we all believe - the end will come-and that's good remember about it to lead good life - and take care about others- like you do !!! this one is special - I love graves - but they are both on one photo = not very often view

I look at the dates on this one and cant help thinking of that song George wrote for John upon his death "All Those Years Ago" This was a beautiful series and step back in time. Wonderful work and looking foward to partII but I also think a subject like this is one that the artist needs rest from as it is avery emotionaly draining body of work or can be. Once again Excellent work
