Description

This mallard was busy to find something in the water, allowing me to approach it and shoot it. The head of the mallard keeps fascinating me with those shiny colors that differ from a changed point of view. He he, is that the little guy who was "jet skiing" yesterday on the lake ? lol ! Ducks are so lovely, and you're right, about their colors. He seems very busy ! love the little drops on his head. The water should be perfect for him, but too cold for us I think ;o)))) Superb the circles in the water, with his movement. There is so much beauty in little things all arround us, that's marvelous ! A month ago I took several pictures of mallards in a protected "humedal" (marshy land), near my home. I also find them very "photogenic". May be we should keep apart from them for a while, just until bird influenza gets diminished.

Yep, he's hungry and got his mind on his tummy and not you. We used to raise these when I was just a little, little girl. It tickles when they do that to your skin. They make these little whispery sounds too when they do that. It's so cute!!! Great image Jan-Carel!!!
