The quintesential star wars image. Pssssst.you could have gotten the same effect right in lightwave without photoshop. But Hey, nice effort and cool image. Keep on plugging. LW is more powerful than you realize.

Photoshop was used to combine the image of the TIE with the image of the trench. I used photoshop because I needed to resize and reposition the TIE in relation to the trench as they were rendered in 2 different scenes. All other effects including motion blurring were done in LightWave.

hey this is a good image you have caught the scale of the deathstar and the space ship and you have also captured the feel of space. i have a few beefs though! why are there no stars? and also the textures along the death star look tiled all the way into infinity. which doesnt make it look realistic. ---Current song playing in winamp(Devo-Are you experienced?)---

There are stars, however, the scene was originally render at 1024x768 so when I scaled down for upload, they kinda fade into the black. Adjust your monitor jsut for grins. Trust me, they're there. As for the textures, I didn't make them, however I noticed the same thing and am working on creating a more elaborate texture map than the one that was supplied.
