I still wonder the origin of their existence, would Thor Heyerdahl be right they were descendants of the Egyptians? It's wonderful work, Kort! :)

Cool image. I love Mayan Temple ruins. They are so beautiful. I love the entrance to this one. really nice atmosphere to it. Ya know, I have a brother who discovered a Mayan Temple in the Yucatan sometime in the early 60's I believe. All I remember was that he was chased by a Native tribe who were shooting poison arrows at him and his native guide, who didnt speak a word of English. lol. Also, he got some kind of borer worm that bores through the skull and eats the brain. YECH. Fortunately he did get out of there and was flown back to Ann Arbor where they knew how to deal with such things. He brought back alot of Mayan ruin artifacts, at a time when it wasnt illegal to do so. I think they were all stolen about a year ago. Anyway, now that there is better access to Mayan ruins, I want to go. Looks so fantastically gorgeous. I love ruins in general, but Mayan ruins really are special. Lucky you for getting to see some. The Yucatan is not the wild aboriginal place it used to be I guess. Dont want a brain bore or poison darts. lol. Excellent image. See all the memories it dug up for me ? That is a sign of a great image. !!!
