Description
In NW England. Normally we don't get much snow: from an east wind we are in the rain-shadow of the Pennines, and west wind is warm and brings rain. This is our first serious snow for many years. In England there is a saying that "March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb, or vice-versa.", referring to gales; but this year March has come in like a polar bear.
