Thank you for your visits and comments/votes, now and previous..
Collaboration on image and this part of the text with Alexander Graham. The poem is harsh, I apologise for that, it is however another part of my healing. and because there are children who need our help I put it here
for you to see. The child in the image is me, hiding as you can see..I will hide no more..Thank you My Alex... for help with the words and for the
light that I have moved into from that darkness...
" to all of our children, every one, every where,
Don't ever think you are alone. You are not. Don't ever 'keep it to yourself'. You can't. Don't ever believe there won't be a 'next time'. As long as you stay silent, there will be. Don't ever let this lie ruin your life like it almost did mine, and many, many others like me..Always do your best to be safe and always know you are loved, the way we were all meant to be..openly and without shame...by every one of the rest of us. Do your part and we'll do ours. our hearts are with you...and our LOVE!!!!!!
A Lifetime of Lies
she looks into his eyes with complete trust
takes his hand as they walk down the hall
his promises fill her heart with joy,
she believes, she never realises she is his toy
his words are so smooth and practiced,
but she is too young, she doesn't know
"You know how much I love you sweetpea"
to her they are special and she loves him so
as the door closes the journey begins
a lifetime of lies
a lifetime of shame
a lifetime of sin
he is her daddy after all, and he wouldn't lie
Its okay sweetpea, I love you, you know
but musn't tell mommy, no one must know
Its okay sweetpea, I love you, you know
You are my special girl but no one can know
they would all hate us and they will take you away
and I won't be able to see you each day
Is that what you want, for me to go
No daddy please, I would miss you so
he holds her close and kisses her so sweet
and then comes pain and his eyes she can't meet
as the door closes the journey begins
a lifetime of lies
a lifetime of shame
a lifetime of sin
the child is a woman, soon a home of her own
those times forgotten, pushed aside as she'd grown
today is the day her future is in sight
everything looks rosy and everthing bright
the man she gave her heart takes her in his arms
the memories scream loud as she whimpers in pain
she pushes away and runs for the door
She stops, turns back and opens the door
You are not my father, that man is gone
you are my husband and where I belong
I ! am closing the door
on a lifetime of lies.
a lifetime of shame
a lifetime of sin
And opening a new door, a new journey begins...
Thanks for viewing, if you know someone who would benefit from my journey, this or the last, please feel free to send the image and the words...its about healing for anyone who needs it, there are more out there like me who need someone, look around and please help if you can...My life would have been so much better if someone had listened..Blessings to all....

You are what you have become through your lifetime of experiences, good and bad. Some things you'll be able to change for the better, there's always time to do so; other things you'll have to learn to live with in peace with yourself and your surroundings and loved ones. When you are being loved now, you must accept and believe that it's true and genuine, instead of trying to kill it or run away, because this is what gives you power to overcome. And you're right, there are more out there like you!!! I know this image means a lot to you, it's beautifully done and very meaningful!! Greetings, --Geert

Magnificent Lynn! Your words are so powerful and moving!

Lynn sorry for the delay in posting my comment but I felt this piece deserved more contemplation before commenting so I flagged the notification and came back a few times viewing, reading, & thinking before commenting. This is a most astonishing beautiful work of art here; brilliant in its design and nature a study in balance and symmetry, and a visual wetting of the palate with each segment of your scene being liken to the separate courses of a great visual meal. Once again youve managed to take sorrow and in turn create joy. In your visual as well as written representation it is a though you have found the key to the maze opened the master door that leads to the corridors containing all the other doors that lead to the many rooms or facets of ones emotional make up. Your words speak of one who has successfully navigated these corridors fearlessly entering each room like a student entering the classrooms of lifes university listing, confronting, accepting, and changing through reasoning and deep introspecting thought finally stepping forth like a Butterfly who has fought its way out of a cocoon to be seen as a beautiful creature of substance. I bow to you as I exclaim Excellent work of Art that cries out to the viewer Dont be afraid embrace the past it made you what you are today and can make you greater tomorrow. Beautiful work of art my friend.

Absolutely stunning work Lynn (and Alex, of course). You are both visionary creators of art and imagery (imho), and this work is most excellent! Thanks for your artistic vision and capability, it's so nice of you to share. By the way, your writings are every bit as wonderful and excellent. Have a fantabulously wondermous day, the both of you!

I simply do not know what to say. Reading your words tears at my heart. It is so hard to know that this could and does happen. I have much to be thankful for. Thank God you are on the way to healing. May God heal your heart.
