Description

So here are shots I took at practice 2 weeks ago. I nearly got nailed by the ball a few times but no dents or buises :} -~-~-~-~-~- The first shot is called a sweep shot you can see the ball between the batsman's (woman's) legs after we as hit it. during play drinks aren't allowed on the field but it was bladdy hot! So you can see the wickets behind the batter, she's wearing her batting pads, gloves, holding the bat, the balls in the pic. Hope this gives you the bigger picture of the equipment that I've shown during the series. Focal Length - 29mm F/Number - f/6.3 Exposure Time - 1/800 ISO - 100 Metering Mode - Spot All others the same as last pics. -~-~-~-~-~-~- Second and third pics are a burst series, this is one of the balls that nearly got me. The shot sje's played is an off cover drive. Her form isn't good at all but she did the job with a safe shot... You can see her bat position and where the ball is in the last shot and connect the two in amimation in your mind. Focal Length - 35mm F/Number - f/7.1 Exposure Time - 1/800 The rest of the info is the same as above. -~-~-~-~-~-~- Editing on both - levels, brightness, and a touch of saturation. These shots are particularly for JCV2 as he was looking for the human element :} - hope this wets your lips ... Tx to all for viewing the series. I'm moving on to some "studio" shots next so it'll be a long ride and any comments, tips and crits will be great to help me become talented/skilled in that area! __________________ For all who missed the equipment of the sport click the following links - Cricket Ball Cricket Bat Batting Pads Wickets Cricket Shoes and Batting Gloves Cricket Pitch

Excellent work for something not so easy to photograph and illustrate. You work with high speeds and even proper pre-planning does not necessarily guarantee a good pic! You do cricket a big justice!

Awwww, that is very sweet of you! Yes, I'm sure I would stare fascinated to what was happening here, the game performed by this young lady showing the rules well! Thank you so much, Vera! :) Excellent collage!
