Ah yes! I remember this one from the "other" place. Excellent design and workmanship, Stephen! Those sails are awesome!! And I'm glad to see the wizard is on board! :D -judee

Thanks judee - actually the wizard on board is not THE wizard but he is on his way to meet THE wizard! I'm glad you like the sails - they presented me with quite a few problems but I'm happy with the end result.

Wonderful ship! Especially from this angle where you can see more detail. Those sails, wow! And the water and characters, all excellent! Great job, Stephen! Looking forward to the next scene!

Okay, when I say this is awesome "Junk", you won't take offense right? ; ) Your modeling here is wonderful!!!

The details are great. I like this version more than the other one you've posted recently. Thank you for sharing. I am looking forward for the next picture. By the way: the water looks very nice. How do you make that?
WZRD
Thank you svarg - digimon, LOL, one mans junk is another mans treasure! X-Pax -The water is a single flat plane, the 'secret' is the texture. It has a colour shader set to a very light blue, a proceduaral bump shader (TLF Bump Shader by The Logic Foundry) - sorry I don't have a link for it, you could try googling for it. The reflectance shader uses caligari's standard 'mirror' shader. There is a second layer using no colour shader, no bump, and caligari metal reflectance. This layer is alpha-masked using a cloud texture and this gives further variation to the 'waves' and hopefully looks like wind patterns on the water. The white waves where the water breaks was added in post process - hope that helps.
