I assume this is a military memorial park. it is very sinister to realize the amount of people killed fighting wars for politicians. excellent capture

Good photo. Politics aside, the price of conflicts for any goal where force of arms is required is always real estate. Sinister? That's an opinion. Sobering, yes. No one gets out of this life alive. Realpolitik, from a soldier's perspective (mine). Kudo's for the work!

This is a cemetary for the 'glorious fallen' of World War 1 (1914-1918) in the north of France. There were over 50 million people killed in the two World Wars (people also quickly seem to forget that there were over 20 million Russian victims). I believe sinister IS the word to describe this!!! This is sacred ground that imo everybody should pay a visit to...

To all my anglocentric colleagues, "sinistre perspective" tranlates to something like "view of disaster."

What a great photograph, so well done. I like how the crosses span out into a seemingly endless line of death.

Sacrbeau travail Anthony. Merci. Bisous. V
