Retired photographer living in Orlando, Florida USA, with his wife Mary.. BIO I'm a retired commercial photographer/videographer. I closed out my studio, which is attached to our home, and sold all of my film cameras and studio equipment. I now use Photoshop to restore old photos. I converted the studio into my dream den. Years ago when I designed the studio I planned some details into it with the idea that someday I would retire and need a retreat. It has a fireplace with wall to wall book shelves, wide screen tv, surround sound, and adjustable lighting, comfortable sofa and chair. I also have a wood shop where I design and build furniture. 23 years ago I had a heart transplant, and I feel wonderful! Now this one looks like it took some time to set up! And of course with that block of ice melting time was of the essence~ Love you light paintings, really adds to the nostalgic feel of the photo...nice compo and capture! Aloha~

That block of "ice" is plexiglas. I took several " sheets and glued them together, separated them & then back together to form bubbles. Then chipped and torched the edges to round it to look more like ice. The ribbons on the fan have small wires glued on to form waves since the antique fan didn't run.

Very unique and interesting photo! What a wonderful conversation piece this would be on any wall. Beautiful warm glow above the stove and I can feel the chill from that block of ice. Superbly set up and captured. :-) V
