Description

We finally made it into the Butterfly House in Sheffield yesterday morning. We were a bit too early for the butterflies (they are more visible during the afternoon), but there was a lot of other things to see. They had more goat babies (my favorite), they're rebuilding a big part of the place to get more room and a couple of new members in the bird crew was strutting around. We also saw a peacock fighting with a turkey...and the peacock was just as big as the turkey was ugly when it began to jump and spread it's wings :p Anyways...the lil darling on the photo here is an albino squirrel. He's sharing a big cage outdoors with a grey squirrel and usually he's very active running around. But yesterday he was busy eating when I found him, so I could get a closer look at him and this piccie. The blur in the foreground is pieces of the net in the cage. There was no way I could get away from that, unfortunately. Thanks for all your comments on my Room with a view yesterday. It was one of those piccies that I uploaded since I didn't have anything better to put up, so I was a tad surprised that you guys liked it. Guess you get blind when you've seen your own piccies for too long :p

That is so cool, I have never seen an albino squirrel. Excellent shot considering you had to take it through that wire. I had what I hought was a great bird shot(taken at a local wildlife park) but when I loaded it the wire was a little too visible :-(
