Really nice ambiance ! Try bringing the sphere forward, just a a bit, to move it out of the shadows. Then place a small radial light below the water under the sphere. Set the light to about 10-15. Still. this is a nice image.

Nice texture, I'd board her if i could just find the hatch. Good alien world setting. dark is good.

I really like the colours and the feel of this. I don't think it's too dark, but it sort of lacks a focus - it's visually spread very evenly from left to right and up and down. There's no one point that centres the viewer's attention. It needs something....
