Description

Ultrafractal 4.02 Here's a weird one that I've been playing around with since last year. Started out as a 2d abstract but then I just HAD to go messing around with the "Patterns" ucl in mt.ucl and the 3d Mapping transform in the Standard folder. (love/hate when that happens! lol) Got a sorta "Alice in Wonderland" vibe after that so it gave me an excuse to try to make some "chessmen" to complete the story. Hard to believe, but this is actually a "tweak" of one called "Aborigine" back a few pages in my gallery. If you look close, you'll see where I zoomed the sine-mod pattern. And the "chess pieces" are really just my scary ol' "Thulsa Doom" image just zoomed way out so you can see the whole 3d cylinder (aho.uxf). That's a really cool mapping to play with! Say, how 'bout a mapping for a 3d DISK? That would be great too! Ok - back to work....again! Aaaarrgh! This working 2 jobs stuff is starting to get old. Need a day off!!!! lol Thanks for stopping by - watch out for the Red Queen! lol Rick ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

Magnificent surreal abstract ! Love the detail with the pattern (Voroni ?) on the front 'panel'. And hard to believe that this is a tweak of "Aborigine". Great work :)

You are so good at these far-out wacky spacey ideas. Cool image, Rick, expertly accomplished, as always! (just needs Tom Petty in the very back corner. :))
