Description

In McKean County, Pennsylvania USA there once sat this amazing bridge. It was the second highest bridge of it's kind... in the world. On July 21, 2003 a tornado with winds of 100 mph slammed into this man made wonder and this is what happened to it. There are two web sites that you can go to for more information.... http://www.route-6.com/pa/mckean/bridge/photo.html http://www.route-6.com/pa/mckean/bridge/history.html My aunt (froznlife42) has a photo of my great great grandmother standing beside the base of this bridge from 1920. I'll ask her to show it to you soon. ~ Stacy ~ Thank You for your comments & suggestions.

Wow, too bad this tornado devastated this high bridge, vulnerable to the winds! Impressive capture & story! :)

Stac... this photo really, really affected me when I first saw it. I remember being a kid, riding in the car with Gramma, and looking straight up at it. It was huge!! I had heard that something had happened to it, but I had no idea it was devastated this badly!!! So much history, laid to waste!! Thank You so much for showing us this.
