Some where in the endless expanse called The Unknown, was the Keep at the Foot of the Mountain. A battle raged in those mountains eons. Ten thousand men and elves marched off into the mountains to vanquish a demon wizard. Only seven elves and three men returned from the massacre that they had been led into. Had it not been for the dragon, that sacrificed herself, even those ten would have perished. The kingdom of Elves and the Men of old made a pact. No one would travel these curse mountains ever again for fear of awakening the evil they had killed. That pact now has been broken, and mistrust has fallen on the once allies. Each blaming the other for it's awakening.
