Africa - God's window? by busi2ness

A very popular vantage point from where the Mozambican side of South Africa can be seen from the rim of the escarpment. Rumour has it that on a clear day the surf of the Indian ocean can be seen - I wear glasses, so you be the judge of that!

Very nicely done, it's always difficult taking photos of the sky and clouds, because of the glare...I love the effect of the dark foreground of the burned trees, and the crisp white clouds in the back, gives it a almost picturesque beauty, you've done it again... PS! I sure would like to challenge the GEO website on the so-called 3500 million years date that they claim it to be, but that we can discuss in another topic, sure speculation...

Wonderful capture with the silhouettes around. You weren't too lucky with the covered view, but you sure made the best of it!

Dear Friend, Wonderful picture. The clouds look as though they could swallow you up and let you enjoy the earth from their vantage point.

Since I can't make it to Southern Africa anytime soon, I am more than happy to let you be my virtual tour guide, Piet. You do for South Africa what Jan-Carel does for the Alps!
