Description

I didn't have alot of time to work on this image. A good friend of mine gave me a photo of this husky (Gusto) who had passed away just before christmas. The owners were still very much in greif over the passing of their 4 legged family member (akin to their baby boy). The painting doesn't do the dog justice IMO. No photo or painting could ever match seeing him in person. The owners loved it though, and say it captured the vibrancy and light-hearted spirit of Gusto perfectly. I had to do it fast though, so I chose to use one of Ravnheart's background. They are gorgeous, and really come in handy - the perfect accessory to an artistic arsenal!! The dragonfly is kinda...odd. It just didn't happen the way I wanted it to - perhaps next time I'll give myself more than 10 minutes to paint one :P C&C if you wanna, Jane

A perfect capture of a soul. At times like that the soul in more important than the photorealism of an image. Very well done.
