Born 1954, Norway. I have allways been drawing, and was educated as an illustrator. My first encounter with CG was back in 1984, and since then I have been adicted. I'm also into music, playing guitar and synthesizers. Making music is one of my leading hobbies. Others are photography, mountainbiking, trekking, skiing. I also like very much to hang out with my friends, playing cards, drinking beer and talking crap.

Great models of one of the lesser known planes.
Smallworld
Beautiful job Gregor. You have a lovely touch for aviation. I love the way you have the background in too. Bravo! Are the props done in Flamingo or afterward?
vkirchner
Great work as usual Greger, nice to see an unusual plane.
MattMc_3
Excellent models and renders! The aircraft lighting matches your background photos very well.

I share your passion for planes..this model you've done is great I have seen many references of this and other aircraft. While I'm not a expert, your efforts are excellent.A plane I did also has ribbed surfaces, but your's seem better achieved. Are they bump mapped or part of wireframe? P.S. Love to see a pic with pilot in traditional headgear but if your like me so little time and so much on the go ,we'll understand. :B eaver !

@Smallworld: The props are flamingo transp. mask. @syrup: The ribbed surface is a part of the wireframe. I have plans to make an oldfashion headgear, but you know...time...

I wouldn't call it a "lesser-known" plane. Anyone who know anything at all about aviation knows who good and how relable these birds were in the days before and even during the Spanish War. Great work. However, could the artist do something about these helmets? Aviators do not use bike helmets, and furthermore, there were no plastic helmets with light filters until probably the time when the first jet planes arrived.

@pixeldump: Well, As I wrote further up here, I'm looking into making an old-fashioned headgear. And as to your trouble with the timewarp; Artistic Freedom. Theese could be replicas flying today, or whatever your imagination would tell you. And I must say; People have different levels of knowledge, and still enjoy imaginary shots of aeroplanes.

Nice work. An intgerpretation. I did a I-15 a while back the forunner a really stout bipland used it in two renders. I think we shoudl be allowed some artistic freedom. These look like souped up air racers.

I love the I-16. You are a real Rhino3d master.
