Looks like a really strange place to build a stairway. I can see some traces of pavement on the right. Something that looks like a memorial stone. Makes me want to know more about this place. Interesting, beautiful shot, wonderful lighting!

looks like left unabated the forest will consume man's folly. beautiful trees but where is the forest? what with all the trees in the way!!! the old sayin about a tree falling in the forest with no one to hear, does it make noise?

I agree, a strange place to put stairs. But that along with the stone and the falling shadows give it an air of something magical or mysterious. Nice image!
