I am a Software Engineer who, when circumstances permits, likes to live off the grid. I wish circumstances permitted now.
Any comments on my work are appreciated. Feel free to be brutally honest - I am trying to improve and would welcome any constructive criticism. Of course, if you like something, I'd enjoy hearing about that too.
I also like to mess about with Bryce but have not gotten the chance to do that in a while. I had to switch over to Linux because Windows kept melting down on me. I keep meaning to set up a virtual windows machine but I'm a software engineer and I try to avoid anything that smacks of that at home.Â
My current favorite photographic topics are outdoors (scenic and macro), my pets and cemeteries. This last is not because of morbid fascination, but they seem to offer endless compositional possibilities.

Very interesting portrait work Dave! More specifically, your PW/treatment here! The best way I can suggest executing your original plan is to download (if you can find a free one) a 2D to 3D convertor, that plots a 2D image and creates a 3D mesh, which you could then import into Bryce, apply your texture maps, and set your lighting type for the object (i.e. emissive, diffusive, etc.). If you have Poser (or other similar tool), you can create a 3D version of Katherine using its modeling tools, along with a front and side view photo of her (for use as the texture map for the 3D mesh), then apply the other effects (transparency, lighting properties, etc.) using Bryce's editing tools. Anyway you do it, it will take some considerable time, skill, and patience to achieve your original plan, but I'm certain the end result would make it all worth it! Hope this helps! Have a fantastic day, and good luck, in all your endeavors!

Hey this is cool...and to help you create that, I would recommend probally adding 4 cubes, and than applying a very fuzzy or glowy material. perhaps volumetric [takes longer to render] or stick some low brightness lights within the cubes. good luck!
