Description

This is a work in progress for my 2nd year college project. Im working on a animation for this which will have the ferrari racing down the streets doing power slides and speeding like in project gotham racing 3. At the moment im looking for any tips on vehicle dynamics for Lightwave 3D like suspension setups and ect.. as theirs no books or internet tutorials that i can find on it. This ferrari is rigged using bones but if theirs a better way then please feel free to let me know, thanks

The rendering on the Ferrari & the road is excellent! This would look brilliant in animation, hope it turns out well for you. BTW, is that Stig from Top Gear?

All we know, is he's called The Stig!! Here's how I'd rig. Null at the rear axle. Child of that, null at front axle. Child of that, the body, and each wheel. Now you can spin each wheel independantly, spin the car around from either the front or rear axle line, allowing both frontal drift, and fishtailing, and the body can be animated on H P or B to allow forward, rear, side to side dips and shifts on the suspension.
