Back then Down low Playing in the sand Jace and I watched The marching ants All lined up in a row With blades of grass And leaves in tow I said "I wish I were an ant!" Jace howled with glee and Buried me up to my knees Up high The two of us rocked Back and forth On the tire swing On make believe wings we soared Flying far and wide To touch clouds in the sky
Sometimes I feel a strong desire to play like young children do. So I made this up. I never had male play mates when I was young. Makes me wonder what I missed out on, but then I remember that age is a state of mind and one is never too old to play.
