Description

Well I thought I would give this a try. I got the idea from earlier today. I was taking the cover off the boat to get something from it,when I realized that a bumble bee had grabbed onto my finger and was holding on. It stayed for a while and then flew away. So I figured I would give it a try when I had the camera. Found a bumble bee that was sitting around and slowly put my finger under it till it got on mine. Also I put this up somewhere else, and one commented that it looked flat, to much use of the flash? Actually this is what he said "Bit of an overkill on the flash though (Maybe to harsh an expression, but the light is a bit to flat and glary)". So any opinions on that, or if it is would be greatly appreciated. As always hope you enjoy. Canon EOS 20D 100mm f2.8 USM Macro 1/125 second F/11.0 ISO 100

May be a little gamma correction... but this shot is GREAT as it is, IMO ! You took some risks here, hh! :~)

I don't think it looks flat or harsh. I think the subject (the bee) is well lit. It's a sharp and gorgeous shot, and I'd be amazed if I could get a shot like that while holding the camera with one hand.

Thanks everybody, thats what I thought. I didnt see any realy problem with the lighting, I mean you have to use a flash for most macro shots.
