intriguing method of getting that lighting? wondering if it's in the glow channel, or just well lit.

Go to your property window and under the Instances tab, select your scene from the top of the list. Go to the top portion of your property window, and select the filters tab. Hit the plus sign, and chose Glare, then Edit. You will get a pop-up window where you can make you changes, dont forget to check the Auto update box so you can see how the effect look in your scene in the preview window. This effect will kick-in right after your scene is finished rendering, a little yellow bar will make its way across the top of your screen. It looks very realistic, exactly right colours/glow and a slight blur giving a heat haze in the fore ground.it has a "liquid" look to it.Excellent!
