Description

This was a challenge set to me by my friend Kharum. We went to a comicon in NY and in a free manga magazine was a zombie dragon. He challenged me to recreate it in Poser/Bryce. I'm afraid I failed, but I'm posting it anyway. Perhaps one day, when I'm better at Bryce I'll attempt this again. Please be kind. Thanks. Mil Dragon 2.0 and GhostDragon tex at Daz3d. Rendered in Bryce

Looks like you are pretty damn good with Bryce already!!! Wonderful work on those waves!!! I think I need to do another "water render"!! I've never seen the dragon look like this before!!! Excellent work, Pal!!!

Looks scary your zombie dragon, the uplight supports this scary look very well. Top work with the water too. ~Uwe

Don't what your were trying to duplicate but this looks awesome to me. Very manga and the way he's rising from the water is just superb work.

I think he looks excellent! My only tips might be to use the the plastic wrap filter in Photoshop 7. (if you have it) It really helps with water scenes. Also might try to smear the waves a bit. Other than that this is VERY cool! And remember..if nothing else you have created a Unique and Very cool looking Dragon.

I think he looks diseased and spooky.. The Bryce environment is first rate. The moon halo and the glow through the wing membrane represent meticulous attention to detail. And great dramatic sky!

Wankers!! We aim for perfection, uh? ;) Well, to me it looks so very, very spooky and imposing - a beast of pure evil (that incidentally would be a nice addition to my evil army - can i borrow it? LOL!) and a great gloomy atmosphere to go with it! ;)

Top scene, hard challenge...the lighting and water are fine, but that critta looks way too healthy, is there an emancipation dial ? there was one with the Mil-horse, maybe in photoshop you could trash and tatter the skin... just an observation, great dragon though ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Kind?, Kind?.... man I be kind all right... that's the ugliest mother of a dragon I've eber seen... I mean, it wears it's insides on the outside... now that's different!... this is just brilliant, and if you're using ZBRUSH to do this then... I'm even more impressed! AWESOME! (V)

Hmmm, I'm confused. Why does everyone think it is water? It looks like ground with dust to me. You can never do a monster wrong Nyt. It is just your thing but I do agree with Jif3d that you need to tatter up the skin and cut some meat off the bones. It is suppost to be dead coming out of the ground. Also, where is the summoning person/wizard? It kinda looks like something Godzilla would fight. Nice try but you are right you failed the challenge. Now, hand over your first born.

Fantastic atmosphere and lighting. The zombie dragon is good but maybe it needs a bit of work on his textures. I think that some holes on his wings would look right.
