Description
'Purpose', a science fiction mood piece and character study.
I guess 'semi-naked Vicki in catsuit with lasgun' (SNVICWL?) is just about as common as SNVITWS. In one sense there is nothing unusual about this image - its a variation on what you can call an archetype or a cliche depending on your mood - though she's not semi-naked, the catsuit is sensible, and the lasgun shares focus with a data stick. The hair do (Grace Lion) is the reason i stuck with the project - playing with ambient colours in subdued lighting - and though its totally unpractical, it certainly adds to both the woman's *presence* and *purpose*.
That, for me, is the key to transcending the limitations of our toolkit. Subject as subject rather than object, a real person, real emotions, real presence. Sexuality as part of the whole person.
A sense of purpose.
I ramble! Thanks for viewing. I'm not sure what's she's looking for, but I hope it doesn't end in tears.

I enjoyed your "ramblings" as much as I enjoyed the very nice picture; the hair is extremely appealing, as much as what you've done with it as for its innate design. Though I enjoy your Gloranthan projects immensely, I think you're really starting to grow as an artist when you're pursuing your own original artwork. Fantastic job, John!

J'aime beaucoup l'expression du visage et la chevelure.Dommage que votre dor d'arrie plan semble sortie d'un jeux 3D, et manque de prision par rapport au visage ou au cheveux de la demoiselle. Mais j'aime cette image ! I like much the expression of the face and the chevelure.Dommage that your decoration of background seems left 3D Game, and misses precision compared to the face or the hair of the young lady. But I like this image!

Quite a cool render lighting and mood are most evident and well executed but the right hand needs to be looked at the grip on the gun is to open if this was real the gun would be on the floor not in her hand
