I had one of these on my Encyclopedia Britannica which caused me to look up the Order of the Thistle. This example did itself proud this spring.

Sure looks alot like the swedish ones as well. Well the flower does....but not the rest. Ours dont have spikes as big. I remember these when i was in Scotland last year and they werent to pleasant to brush up against, lol. Perfect POV on this one. Have a great weekend. #:O)

We find these also in the USA; Must have come over on the Mayflower. Oopps, guess not as they say that the English were on that ship. Well, the Scots are everywhere now, and it's a good thing.
