Very Nice Bob...looks like your mastering the beast. Im going to make a few assumptions here: Youve added either displacements or added a small SC fractal to the shape. It also looks like you`ve added another fractal to the ridged value so that its more solid at the base? Nice control of the shader blends :)

Holy crap that looks good! Reminds me of one of those gratuitous SFX shots in shows like CSI...um...but in a good way.
