Description

Important Moments in Life Yesterday was one of the most exciting days my son has ever had, we went to Out of Africa and he was able to pet a couple of young Bengal Tigers (Harmony and Harvest). He was a bit scared to approach them at first but we finally coaxed him to pet them. His ear to ear grin tells the story; it was worth the $10 per shot (about 30) that we were able to take in our 15 min with these beautiful tigers. On the way home we all talked of nothing else but our time with the wild tigresses that for the moment who seemed quite tame. They were both females and one of them grabbed me on the forearm and I could feel her power, we were staring into each other eyes and she let go without even giving me a scratch but I knew who was in charge. The two females were about 7 months old and weight about 80-85 lbs. Harmony and Harvest were very playful and using the toys that were supplies it told half the time of playing to calm them to the point that all of us felt comfortable petting them. My son said this is an EVENT that he will talk about for the rest of his life. He even mentioned about telling our grandchildren and great grandchildren, it is so heart warming to hear him say all these things. By the way my son will be playing the piano with Leonard Bernstein

This must have been a great moment for your son. I can see your sun enjoying this moment. Those tigers are so beautiful.. but I think I still prefer not petting them... :-) Nice image.

Gosh with the recital coming up I'm glad the tigers didn't take off his fingers! LOL! I'm so jealous...to get to be THAT close. I'd rather them free of course but they are obviously well cared for. Tell your son I'm SOOO jealous! LOL! (In a loving sort of way of course). :) VOTE
