Description

Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my soul to keep If i die before i wake I pray the lord my soul to take Hush little baby, don't say a word Never mind that noise you heard It's just the beasts under your bed In your closet, in your head Part of "Enter Sandman" by Metallica ...we had a close friend for a visit here last weekend and spent our time wth the usual things: Watching what everyone painted and modelled, debating god and the world, going out for a beer, listening to music. While driving to the pub my hubby choosed one of my all-time-favorite-tunes, good for cleaning up the house, getting rid of anger or (yes!) recreation: Enter Sandman by Metallica. Every time I hear this song I'm amazed how well the lyrics fit to the feelings of children that are afraid of the dark and have fear about having bad dreams. So I did what I wanted for several years now: Taking one of the verses and put it into an image. This is the first attempt - and because I like the whole song a lot, there will come another one sooner or later. Credits: Aiko 3, Sylphie (with Marret's eye-material) and Closet by DAZ3d, lighting by me. partial render of closet added in postwork (the closet caused stupid crosstalk with the clothes...), some corrections on shoulders and legs in PS - I tried to correct nasty shoulders in ZBrush but found the hair was misbehaving together with the object... a pity!

Spooky.... things that go bump in the night... fluffy balls that run across your bed, whebn you are not quite asleep and not quite awake... the twilight time... the things that dreams are made of... or nightmares... oh I vaguely remember being a child and afraid of the dark... these days the dark is afraid of me...LOL Awesome scarey image Meike... love it alot!!!
